Before you buy

A sign for the shower entrance or the rental door with the bride's name, the party and the date.

What you need

A printer; white cardstock or matte paper; a paper trimmer or a ruler and craft knife; for 8 × 10 a frame or small easel; for 16 × 20 and 18 × 24 foam board or poster board at least the sign's size, tape or spray glue and a floor easel. A print shop instead of tiles if you prefer one sheet. Nothing physical is included.

Personalising

Offline personaliser in your browser on a computer: type her name, choose Bridal Shower or Bachelorette Weekend, pick the date and add an optional line; the preview updates as you type; print or save a PDF on Letter or A4, or save the sign as one JPG for a print shop. A line that cannot fit refuses Print and the JPG. The ready-made PDFs work without it.

Not included and limits

  • Printing, cutting, joining tiles, mounting and frame fit were not physically tested; sizes and seams were measured in the PDF files.
  • The 8 × 10 in sign's side cut lines sit 0.25 in (Letter) or about 0.13 in (A4) from the paper edge; a printer that cannot print that close clips the side border. The guide's test print shows this; then use a print shop or a tiled size.
  • The personaliser was tested only in headless Chromium on a computer; other browsers, phones and tablets were not tested. The 16 × 20 and 18 × 24 JPGs are large images; make them on a computer.
  • Print shops and photo labs were not tested; the files are RGB and no press-ready CMYK file is included.
  • Letters the sign lettering does not contain (emoji, some symbols) print as a gap; the personaliser warns about them.
  • A name or extra line too wide for the sign is set smaller, or wrapped onto two lines at a word break; a line that still cannot fit stops printing and refuses the JPG until it is shortened.
  • Nothing physical is included: you print, cut and mount the sign.
